One of the few Disney movies I actually like. So good.

Apparently there was a lot of internal angst at Disney, and maybe the FBI was involved, about how to make a Robin Hoodf movie without indoctrinating kids in to GOASGonmAKOEMUNNISM

Also the Chicken lady pushing up her sleeves and bodying all the rhinos and elephants is pure kino. Also Hiss getting drunk. Really just a ton of fun scenes, and it shows Sheriffs to be the evil thugs they really are.

There was an old British Robin Hood Series that was written by mostly Blacklisted American writers

I made one using this image, too. It's great bc he's clearly proclaiming something, but he also looks joyful so you can have fun with the message.

This is especially funny because in furry Robin Hood the goose is probably just a normal person

Most Guy Ritchie heist movies.

Robinhood Men in Tights is a screwball Mel Brooks comedy that's pretty good. Look up a CW somewhere, it's a 90s screwball comedy so there's almost certainly some sketchy stuff. Note that while it's a parody of robinhood movies in general it directly parodies Prince of Thieves and will make more sense if you've seen Prince of Thieves. Iirc Friar Tuck is actually Brooks playing a mohel and there are lots of good dick jokes.

Prince of Thieves has Alan Rickmann chewing the scenary as the evil asshole Sheriff of Nottingham and Rickman always played a good villain.

The old Disney animated one is fun, and is the reason there are so many horny furries running around keeping society's critical infrastructure going.

I was extremely Sherwoodpilled as a child until I drew on and shot another kid with my homemade bow and arrow (child psycho vibes), don't think I was allowed to construct "toy" weapons so much after that lol

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Just ignore Kevin Costner and it's actually a very excellent film.

Haven't seen it since I was a little kid. Have to rewatch this!

Alan Rickman actually improvised a lot of his lines because he thought the script sucked ass.

I still say "Because it's dull, you twit! It'll hurt more!" to my siblings on occasion.

[–] Aryuproudomenowdaddy@hexbear.net 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I'd assume it's basically the only line most people remember from the movie.

[–] AFineWayToDie@hexbear.net 2 points 2 years ago

"And CALL OFF Christmas!"

It's an old British children's tv series called Maid Marian and Her Merry Men.
