Using reddit at all, even in protest, is what they want. Traffic is traffic to them. We should strive to be perfectly content over here.

I agree to a certain point. I'm not going to stop using Reddit totally, but I've got to admit that I've used it less and less after I started using Lemmy.. I rarley go on reddit.
The point is to maybe get more traffic for us. But I do agree with you, traffic is traffic.
They haven't blanked the "fuck Spez" stuff så maybe they will not blank it out?
Doesn't matter. Doing place again now is just a desperate attempt to show that numbers and engagement are up after the protests, and using it shows the protests meant nothing.
no! r/place is a trap! Do not interact with it! Everyone who writes "fuck spez" and stuff is a fool and is falling for it. Spez wants this. You are giving traffic to Reddit. Even by insulting him.
It reminds me of the people that think they're doing the lords work by 'downvoting' the ads on their reddit stream, when in reality it's just counted as another interaction.
Mannn I still remember how r/place was advertised in the past. “Reddit had x million people contribute to this, it’s a social science, it’s good for advertisers!” Etc. people are addicts and don’t realise how they’re feeding the machine
Don't participate, traffic is traffic, they'll use your engagement for their IPO and blank out your pixels and move on. Participating at all is just giving them traffic
