The worsening drought in Missouri is forcing livestock producers to sell off their cattle herds, decisions that will be felt at the supermarket cash register.

To be fair, beef should be more expensive. It's terrible for the environment, is partially sustained by welfare (corn-fed cattle), and the only way to lower demand is to increase prices.
