I know I doubted my identity for the majority of my life, because I didn't experience my dysphoria the way I was told it was supposed to feel.

I wish I had decided to try it out anyway instead of being afraid of being wrong for so long.

Following this principle actually disarms someone who's acting in bad faith too.
