I mean, as awful as that sounds I assume the writers were coming from the perspective that Hitler is bad but making a joke out of putting such an evil person in a comedic situation.
This show seems to unironically be trying to present a fun, friendly image of the CIA. Say what you will about "American Dad" but at least they make the occasional gag about how genuinely evil the CIA is as an institution.
you should watch Patriot instead, it's more realistic about how ridiculous that world is
are the politics infuriating enough to ruin the show? I see a westoid show about Iran and the “calmness veins” in my forehead start “relaxing”.
well, I never actually finished the show, so maybe in season 2, but I don't recall it actually saying anything about the targets, just how fucked up people and objectives are, it's very much a dark comedy. For example, the show starts out with the senator's sociopath fuck-up son cooling his heels in Amsterdam after fucking up some wet-work mission, so he's just hanging out in a cafe playing guitar, but he's singing about the depraved shit he was doing
