Friendly reminder that baking soda is a safe thing to use to douse a grease fire. Water will fucking end your day, and your rental deposit, and/or burn your motherfuckin' house down.
I worked at a fast food restaurant with a fryer like that and it was a rite of passage for new employees to throw at least one chip of ice into it like a grenade and try to dodge the results.
