If we go by what's been revealed of what he's done over the last six years (and more), he's been in real trouble for a while.
It's not a matter of what he's done, or what can be proved, it's a matter of who will hold him to account.

Yeah, he's gotten away with so much even before he ever ran for President.
Karl Rove is still around?
When Karl Rove sits around the house, he sits around the house.
That one time they tried to pack him into a crate, but one side busted open and swung out a little. So, while he was then more or less a cube shape, it was ajar.
We've only just got rid of Henry Kissinger. Dick Cheney and Newt Gingrich are still out there. Karl Rove may be here quite a while still.
None of that fake trouble he was in up to this point- now's for realsies.
