It was the 10th highest selling PC game between 2000 and 2006. In the US alone it sold like 1.5 million copies!

All right, which faction is the best? I think I was usually an Egypt head, they had some of the cooler monsters and the endgame titan thing was a big bird guy I think which was cooler than anthro Cerberus or whatever the Norse had. The Atlanteans are a BS expansion race, but they were all right I guess.

This game did a few really cool things, like having upgrades make visual changes to your troops and had fucking dope spells. I usually played this and AoE mostly to vibe and city build against the AI, but AoM had a particularly good single player campaign.

The single player campaign of Age of Mythology is the gold standard for single player RTS games. Still hasn't been matched. When I was a kid I was convinced Arkantos was part of the standard Greek myth pantheon.
