Do owls have good ears? Isn‘t it risky to nap in such an open place with your eyes closed?

If you find an injured owl:
Note your exact location so the owl can be released back where it came from. Contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitation specialist to get correct advice and immediate assistance.
Minimize stress for the owl. If you can catch it, toss a towel or sweater over it and get it in a cardboard box or pet carrier. It should have room to be comfortable but not so much it can panic and injure itself. If you can’t catch it, keep people and animals away until help can come.
Do not give food or water! If you feed them the wrong thing or give them water improperly, you can accidentally kill them. It can also cause problems if they require anesthesia once help arrives, complicating procedures and costing valuable time.
If it is a baby owl, and it looks safe and uninjured, leave it be. Time on the ground is part of their growing up. They can fly to some extent and climb trees. If animals or people are nearby, put it up on a branch so it’s safe. If it’s injured, follow the above advice.

Owls have some of the best hearing in the world. I was reading this morning about how owl ear cochlea are 3x the size of most other birds. Their small head keeps the ears very close to where audio is processed in the brain, which gives excellent reaction time. Also, there is no way to tell for sure, but owl hearing also activates nerves used for vision, so owls may even get visual indicators of sound, almost like a heads up display or an auto targeting system in a video game.
I'm sure it's very high up as well, and the Great Horned Owls are big enough there probably isn't anything big enough up there to pose much danger.
Oh, cool--so Daredevil should have gone with an owl theme. There needs to be better owl representation in the superhero community.
That would have gotten him around the Catholic dogma that playing a devil gave him! 🤔
Other than Nite Owl from the Watchmen, I didn't know any owl themed guys, so I looked it up, and Daredevil actually had an owl themed villain. He was in the Netflix show, but Fisk killed him off before he became the Owl. He was an accountant named Leland Owlsley! 😁
