It's a tiny 1cm long slug. You guessed correctly.

Slugs eat plants. Chuck it outside.

And clean your plant, there could be more, or worse, eggs. You might want to repot it in fresh soil too.

From a search online, I think it's a meadow slug. I appreciate the info, I'll repot it when I get a chance. Any way to get rid of them in the meantime?

Pick the slugs off off and throw them outside, or into a cup with some beer in it if you want to personally kill them.

Wipe the plant down with some neem oil to debug anything else that may have hitched a ride.
