Art brought to you by that guy that drew the little girl from Spy x Family going to Auschwitz. And posted it on Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Why exactly is it controversial? That is the exact emotion that visiting Auschwitz is meant to evoke. Not all art should be joyful.

(edit) Even if the picture is about kids being sent to '40s Auschwitz to work, suffer, and die - that is what happened to real people. Don't look away. The gut-punch feeling is what you're supposed to feel and remember when people bring up fascist rhetoric. Again, not all art should be joyful.

I agree with you, but "intent" is also important when it comes to art. While I'd like to believe he had something like what you mentioned in mind, I think it's 1000% more likely he made that in an attempt to make a "too edgy for you" joke in poor taste.

You really can't think of any reason why that artwork would be controversial?

Jesse, what the fuck are you talking about? This is an art piece about someone shoving Pokeballs up their ass/vagina.

This guy is seriously fucked in the head. My introduction to him was Anya building a Lego model of Unfortunate Girl.

Small note: you got the link syntax backwards. The URL goes in parentheses, which come after the link text in square brackets.

Does Nurse Joy treat people?

[–] programmer_belch@lemmy.dbzer0.com 13 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I can see the pokemon centers helping with pokeball related "incidents"

[–] Even_Adder@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 2 years ago

The day you end up being treated in a Pokémon center is a day for self reflection.

[–] Nice_Melt_Pleb@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

Guys can also wear bikinis and shove poke balls up their ass. It's where I would store mine.

[–] poplargrove@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

I mean, I was more worried by how the pokeballs seemed to have gotten all the way to the gut.
