It's fucking awesome that you have a Greebo. I used to see a cat around the neighborhood that I called Greebo because he could well have been cast for the part. Damn thing was tough, old, and scarred all to hell and back. Wasn't assessment exactly friendly, but he'd deign to share a yard with me as long as I didn't look at him too often lol. Kept the mice and rats away though! After he stopped coming around, mice started creeping back into the houses around the fields again.
Nobody ever claimed that local Greebo as theirs, but there were plenty of bowls on porches of people that didn't have cats, and he was often seen in a barn at the end of the road during winter.
