I love the inclusion of the Rwandan proverb translated into Gallifreyan. It's a really cool way to portray homage to the Doctor's character while also including non-Western influences.

As to the design of the screwdriver itself, I quite miss the old cylindrical design. I'm sure it'll be fine in action though.

One of the best quotes I heard about the sonic (I forget who said it) was that it should never be used in the second half of the episode. It's for opening doors and getting the Doctor into trouble, not for getting them back out of it again.
