That sounds like it's probably it. Don't have that brand here so I'd never have picked that.
Denial for $2?! Normally, you have to do some serious mental gymnastics to make that at home; it's a lot of work. What a bargain.

I think it’s a “being unnecessarily technical/obtuse as a joke” thing: plasma, as in “blood plasma” - thus, tree blood plasma ~= maple syrup
