Happy [WORLDWIDE] Wednesday everybody!
I'm making an update to [WORLDWIDE] Wednesdays. Currently it is every Wednesday, every week. Realistically, that is a lot and we aren't seeing a ton of participation. We don't have a ton of regular posters, so maybe I was a little ambitious with it.
From here on out [WORLDWIDE] Wednesday will be the first Wednesday of every month. I still like the idea and I personally still listen to a lot of German Hip Hop that I probably wouldn't share under normal circumstances, so I don't want to scrap it entirely.
Of course, anybody can share anything pretty much any day, so if you have something from outside the US or Canada you want to share, live your dream. We are just going to only have the one Wednesday a month where I try to really encourage it. I'm hoping that will result in more posts on that specific day, as opposed to the posts being spread out on random Wednesday.
That said, I'm probably going to start doing different stuff on other Wednesdays. I like the idea of Wednesday being a set day that things happen, I just think some variety would be fun. Probably will start doing things like a "Share your last.fm for the month" thread some Wednesdays or something similar like that. If anybody has any ideas, I'm open to suggestions.
TLDR: [WORLDWIDE] Wednesday is now just the first Wednesday of the month. Things that would normally be [WORLDWIDE] are still free to post any day of the week, but we are going to specifically encourage it just the one day. Other fun things for other Wednesdays will be coming.
