MODERATORS
As long as it's not enforced it will keep being used like that, and to be honest if you haven't been on AskReddit you would always assume that AskLemmy is for questions about Lemmy, it has even lemmy in it's name.
It's being enforced - mods just occasionally need sleep.
Folks can learn stuff.
Not in the web native interface.
