Does the dual band GPS in my AW Ultra 2 makes navigation better on my old iPohone (in poor coverage/rural areas, will my old phone utilise my watch's GPS capabilities) (alien.top)

I have an old iPhone 8, which I plan to upgrade next year, and in the mean time I bought an Ultra 2. I remember GPS being unreliable in rural areas or places with poor signal, when I used Google Maps, with offline map downloaded. Will my Ultra 2 help in that regard?
