Bit of an odd one really.

I bought a brand new Apple Watch Series 8 45mm Graphite Stainless Steel from a private seller. He was selling it on the grounds that he much prefers his Garmin but in all was absolutely prestine with 100% battery health and AppleCare until next year (still within the period to upgrade to AppleCare+) - we settled on £350.

The place where he bought it from though decided to add a sticker that covers the sensor underneath with the serial number etc.

I tried to peel it but quickly stopped when I realised it was leaving residue.

I didn't want to use a hairdryer in fear that it may damage the back from the heat - is it just a case I need to use rubbing alcohol? Will it damage any seals on the back?

TL;DR without heat, is there any way to safely remove a sticker on the back sensor of an Apple Watch without scratching or damaging?

The only reason they would do that is probably that the watch is stolen or a fake. They do not want you to see the serial number or model
