Hey, I just got a Series 9 after upgrading from a Series 3. I hoped that after 6 years Apple provided an option to finally turn off that godforsaken auto-brightness, but it seems they somehow made it worse. At least in dark surroundings. In sunlight it’s obviously bright and brighter than the 3, but this is ridiculous. Is this a bug supposed to be fixed in a future software update? Please tell me it is…

That's the point, the new displays are brighter in the sun, darker in the dark.

crank the display brightness to the max then,

if its still darker, change the watch face to something more bolder and contrasting

still dimmer? be in a brighter environment

why would you want a brighter display when it’s dark?
