I know she should have got a newer one, but wife liked this phone. To the question, phone doesn’t come with an old style charging cable and block. What do I need to buy to charge this phone. We already have charging station that you lay your phone on at night, but is there a converter for this cable?

You can use any wireless charging pad, you can use Apple’s MagSafe charger, you can use any USB-A to Lightning cable with a USB-A charging brick, you can use any USB-C to Lightning cable with a USB-C charging brick. If you have previously owned any iPhone from the 5 to the 14, you can use the exact same charger & cable from those.
