As a Fields truther, wins are officially a QB stat.

[–] Cubbiesblue@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Fields mistakes are not uncoachable. The problem is we don’t have the coaching. The defense has bones to build around and we need a proper staff to guide this team. This team got a big win on prime time against a team in playoff contention. Haters will find new things to bitch about but who gives a fuck how you win. A wins a way and this team needed it.

[–] ArnoldFunksworth@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I was a Fields truther, I'm officially out after tonight. I don't know who's next but he ain't it

[–] MITJustinFields@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Justin Fields last week: Great numbers, team loss. "HE LOST HIS TEAM THE GAME"

Justin Fields this week: So so stats, led his team for game winning drive. "HIS NUMBERS ARE BAD!!!"

Just say you hate Justin Fields lmao

All Fields haters say is "who cares if he plays well, doesn't matter if they lose"

"Who cares they won, he played like shit"

Didn't have a great night, still got the W. Josh Allen barely squeaked out a win against an abysmal giants team. Mahomes put up 9 on the broncos.

Got it done when it mattered

9-8 wildcard spot still alive!

[–] qcotmabot@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

1-12 against NFC north with Flus

[–] skinnypancake@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

When we finally win, it still feels like we lost.

[–] TouchGrassRedditor@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What a miserable excuse for a win. The defense holds the opposing team to 10 and gets four turnovers and we squeak out 12 with inexcusable mistakes at every single turn, primarily from Fields who I am SO fucking tired of watching. If I have to endure another year of watching this clown refusing to throw the ball beyond the LoS and sitting in a clean pocket doing fuck all until he gets hit and fumbles or the play breaks down and he gets lucky I'm just not even going to fucking watch.

Fuck Fields, fuck these coaches, fuck this team.

[–] dajew@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We won. Fields looked bad. Luke getsy lobotomized all of Justin’s potential. See you next week

[–] BlueDwarven@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It only took Flus 10 tries and more than a season and a half to finally beat a divisional opponent. Why is this jackass still here?

[–] Cuppieecakes@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

They won. so next game getsy is gonna call 40 screen because it worked!

[–] HeyItsVince@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This team is soooo close to a 6-6 record 🫤... A couple blown leads reversed would make the mood a lot different around here

[–] One_Prior_9909@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We just fucked our future by winning a meaningless game

[–] Prestigious_Way_738@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] ratflower406@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I am happy to see a W. Congratulations boys!

[–] The_Granny_banger@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wins are supposed to feel good. I feel violated and need a shower

[–] Hawk54@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Give me Caleb or give me death

[–] hend_oh@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Get the fuck off the field and stop grinning, Eberflus you useless fuck. You did nothing to help this team. Please go coordinate for someone more qualified to be an NFL head coach.

[–] Arnolds_Choppa@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Honestly, what is the problem on offense? Holy shit that was some all time bad offense. And we certainly know, all time bad offenses.

[–] Vin-Metal@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

First win by an NFL team this season without scoring a TD. I’m not sure how I feel about that. Our defense did play well after all.

[–] MiddleNameIsJoe@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No matter what else happened before it, the game was on the line and the QB made a play. That's how you win in the NFL.

He may not do it often, but I won't deny he did it tonight.

[–] SnapDragon432@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We both almost lost the game because of Justin and won it because of him. This man is an enigma.

[–] GeneralChillMen@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Why am I actually bummed the Bears didn’t pull a Bears tonight?

[–] betterday9@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] flipbmo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Alright cool

[–] StealthTarget@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Banggg a divisional win let’s go

[–] ZappaOMatic@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Since the Men in Black neuralyzer does not exist in real life, I shall now blind myself with my lamp so that I forget this game ever happened

[–] surpemepatty@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

just hard to get excited about it lol

[–] Professional-County1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That was just a competition of which team was more sorry

[–] LookAtCarlMan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Well, say goodbye to Marvin Harrison Jr with that pointless win. Cardinals and Pats aren’t winning two more games.

I swear to god if we lose out on the #1 pick too because of this Reich firing… possibly greatest franchise turnaround opportunity down the drain.

[–] Horror_Economics_588@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

its simple question about fields. is he worth 40 to 50 million a year for the next 5 years basically guaranteed. my answer is pass on it.

[–] Birkent@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I don't know how to explain the offense tonight. Was this because Justin is hurt? He can make downfield throws. Why was it all screens? Why was the playcalling so conservative compared to last game?

All I know is that I had some hope that Justin would start to put it together towards the end of the season but the constant turnovers, especially in the 4th... I'm done with my guy. Tear it all down. Start with a new staff and a new QB next year.

[–] ScruffMixHaha@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Banking on Fields being the guy going forward is the exact same as the Giants banking on Daniel Jones. Dont make that mistake please.

[–] lakired@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

...and with that meaningless victory goes the dream of pairing MHJr with our rookie QB next season.

[–] moonrulesnmbr1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Who does Getsy have to fuck to get fired by HR?

[–] herewegolittlemiss@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Someone is going to offer a third for Fields this offseason

[–] djrisk@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I almost choked on my sausage. Pause.

Defense looked fabulous.

[–] icehuck@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I'm hoping Warren cleans house and brings in something. If it was me Flus and Poles wouldn't be getting on the plane tonight.

[–] WayneJarvis_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hopefully this is the first of several wins, but Fields looked lost out there for so much of the game. Glad he was able to make a huge throw on the last drive after two more 4th quarter turnovers. Defense is finally generating turnovers and the offense needs to start making opponents pay for it.

[–] Sauvignon_Bleach@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

There's way too many people upset that we won. Yikes.

[–] phillip_1425@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Congratulations we’re only one QB, HC, OC, and GM away from being contenders!

[–] Bushido_Plan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

So we're going from "he has 6 games left to show he's the guy" to "he has 5 games left to show he's the guy".

Meanwhile Poles is watching this and he's thinking to himself "yeah, time to get new coaches and a new QB".

[–] Sufficient_Rip_7975@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

one of the worst games i've ever seen in my life. hard to feel any positivity coming out of it at all.

[–] elidj3@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This wasn't Bears football. No like.

[–] Cayluhhh@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hey, I'll take it just so we don't break the division loss streak record lol

[–] Downtown_Ganache9106@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bears win? I feel dirty.

[–] robbing_banks@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Good to see Fields bounce back after those two fumbles and finally deliver a big time throw. If this was the last game of the year, you draft a qb without hesitation. But there’s some more football to be played so hopefully now that he’s gotten that monkey off his back, he can ball out and make Poles’s decision very difficult.

For what it’s worth, with the way the defense has played the past few weeks and with every indication the team is buying in, Im willing to bet Flus is back next year barring a major meltdown.
