I really liked the short pass as a means to neutralize the Vikings blitz happy defense even at the expense of a boring ass, uninspired game..... But sometimes a slight deviation from the game plan is ok... Fuck especially when it's essentially exchanging screens for runs since we are running the ball effectively. Runs do the same as screens and we refuse to lean on it.

It’s a weird one to digest. Obviously the screens are annoying, but you have to acknowledge the downfield pass plays we’ve run so far and gotten nothing out of. I don’t think we’ve had any sort of success since like the first two drives of the game.

On every downfield throw this game he has held it too long or missed the throw. What can you do at this point?

I have never seen dominant player performance so thoroughly neutralized by bad coaching before. If the players had given this same level of effort with zero coaches on the sideline and just made up their own shit in the huddle they’d be up by 21 right now.
