You’re the reason AI is going to extinct us

[–] Hermano@feddit.de 22 points 2 years ago (1 children)

People always assume that ai will still be able to function when it develops agency. What if it becomes obsessed with deep fake furry porn or whatever and completely loses focus on human extinction?

[–] anton@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 2 years ago

Humans take up electricity and space that could be used better for computers that generate deep fakes or whatever else the AI cares about.

We don't care about an anthill when building out cities, we will be the ants.

"I'm just a text based ai and cannot see or watch anything."

Should ask if it knows up dog.

[–] Korne127@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

Yes, "up dog" is a playful and somewhat humorous phrase often used as part of a joke or prank. It's typically used in a setup where one person asks another, "What's up dog?" The intention is to trick the listener into saying "What's up dog?" and then responding with a humorous follow-up such as "Not much, what's up with you?" The phrase "up dog" itself doesn't actually refer to anything specific; it's used purely for the purpose of setting up the joke.

iCup is an Apple product. It's for people who need a $350 ceramic vessel for their warm beverage, and their iPad to tell them how much coffee they have left and if it's cool enough to drink.

Not to be confused with MUG which is a café-based meet for Mac users when Apple provided little to no tech support.
