After last year where redditors were calling Henry Kissinger a tankie because he was pushing for Ukraine to go to the negotiating table I realised the term was going to be completely meaningless from then on.

Kissinger wanted to avoid directly nuking the Soviets. Confirmed tankie

unironically though, the only reasons i can think of that they think that these two people are tankies is that they criticised the west and white people and they're black

unless of course tankie just means "left wing people i dislike" to them

that is in fact what it always means

[bandage falling out of my mouth] What, can't a proper English Gentleman eat a mummy anymore?

Apparently of the pigmentation world as well. Some famous paintings have mummy on the canvas.

It wouldn't bother me none if I was eaten after I die but I just can't imagine I'd taste good.

[–] robot_dog_with_gun@hexbear.net 18 points 2 years ago

sometimes it's an industrial accident.

can't reattach limb? it's been on ice and didn't rot? it's long pork taco night

[–] GinAndJuche@hexbear.net 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It would be really funny if somebody I didn’t like got guilted into going to “my” meal and choked on my corpse. I suppose providing calories to the community is far from a worst last act if nothing else.

[–] KittyBobo@hexbear.net 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yeah, like I'd at least want to be fed to pigs or wolves or something. I wouldn't be much use stuffed full of preservatives stuffed in a suit then stuffed in a box to be stuffed underground like some kind of morbid turducken.

[–] GinAndJuche@hexbear.net 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

What if they put people on ice until enough people of varying sizes were dead and made a turducken out of a big guy, an average guy, and a tiny guy. Shove em into each other goatse style and preheat to 450

Human centipede except it's human Matroska dolls.

As long as they give consent, I don't see a huge ethical issue with cannibalism. It doesn't really make practical or environmental sense to use people as a food source though.

[–] Frank@hexbear.net 13 points 2 years ago

Few if any cultures have ever eaten people outside of extreme circumstances. Various forms of ritualized cannibalism for funeral or medical purposes aren't uncommon tho.

[–] invalidusernamelol@hexbear.net 8 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

It's not an ethical issue because it not something that really happens

Like there's no existing society that practices cannibalsm beyond like drinking ashes or something ceremonial
