How many of you guys wear your AW 24/7? I’ve been only wearing it as a watch. Not really even working out in it since I have Whoop but I’m interested in utilizing more of the features such as HRV, V2O, etc. but I feel like I will have to wear it 24/7. I usually only wear my AW only during work.

Mine goes on the charger at night and comes off in the morning. I haven’t done sleep tracking since my Fitbit.

[–] ColorSplit_CC@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wear mine 24/7 except for when I’m showering. I like having my heart metrics tracked.

[–] PineapplePizza99@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wear it when I´m at work or when I´m out. I also wear it through the night for sleep tracking. There is zero reason for me to wear it all day, I dont like having anything on my wrist while I´m at home.

[–] PrettyboiQMJ@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

24/7 except showering. Even though it’s water proof. Series 8 45 mm

[–] Ybalrid@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

All day and night. It may get a top-up on the charger for like 45 minutes. (I am one of those nerds that have an Ultra because of the battery and screen and not because I am climbing mountains)

[–] Avengerius@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No, I generally charge it overnight because I don't really find the sleep stats useful, and it's the most convenient time to charge it.

[–] forestball19@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Well, with how power hungry my AW8 is, it’s more like 22.5/7.

I might start wearing it all day except for sleeping since I have a Whoop

[–] MDK1980@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Only time I take it off is to shower, which is incidentally also when I charge it.

[–] europeancafe@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I used to but after the big OS update I never use the watch outside of exercising.

The OS is glitchy, cant easily switch between faces or record workouts, everything is just way more clunky to use very simple features. Add all that with the massive battery drain causing it to die in the middle of the night so sleep tracking is interrupted just left my not really bothered about my watch anymore.

This is coming from someone who religiously closed every ring for years and never took it off.

Only during the Day (7am - 10pm). I hate the Feeling of a Watch on my Wrist while Sleeping. It also helps with only needing to charge my Ultra once a Week.

[–] Klutzy_Business3585@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I might start wearing it all day except sleep

[–] Cool-Newspaper-1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I do. Mainly because I like data, especially rhr.

[–] lovebot5000@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yep all day. I charge it when I put my kid to bed. I like the activity and heart rate tracking. The sleep tracking is cool too.

[–] Possible-Reality4100@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I generally do, but I gotta switch wrists often. My left wrist gets terribly irritated and I develop a sore.

[–] pakleiven@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wear it as long as it has power, which is almost 24/7

[–] tymustard@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That’s impossible. It has a battery that needs to be charged.

[–] Galaxyman0917@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Well, I charge it every few days, so not quite 24/7

[–] LeCrushinator@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’ve worn my watch every waking minute since the day the first Apple Watch released. I take it off to charge while I sleep.

[–] Kaessa@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yep. I charge it in the morning when I'm getting showered and ready for work.

[–] StorytellingGiant@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Definitely! It’s like my second brain.

[–] itsaarxn94@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

All the time except in the shower

[–] manateefourmation@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

23/7. I charge it when I am showering and getting ready in the morning and am good. I have an ultra and now do this every third day.

[–] Sway_RL@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yep, have it on all day. Just take it off when I go in the shower; this is when I charge it too.

[–] Spaciax@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

i have a hand-me-down first gen SE from my sister, it does pretty much nothing except show time and track workouts so I only wear it for working out and going outside.

[–] SaucelnTheRough@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Pretty much, I mainly use it to track water intake/fitness/sleep so I just charge it before going to sleep and wear it everyday

[–] jacob6875@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Is charge it when taking a shower but otherwise yes.

[–] MutekiGamer@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If there was a way to charge it realistically without having to take it off then it’d probably never come off

[–] StealthNider@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

yep i wear it all the time when it’s not charging.

exception is this weekend iykyk

[–] PepeAyawaska@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yep! I wear it all the time. I charge it while I shower and that’s the only time I take it off

[–] Saltwater_Heart@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yes. Even when swimming. I only take it off to charge it. Usually during showers

[–] ellejaysea@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Since my AW first diagnosed my Afib, I wear it except when charging it. It has been very helpful keeping me alive.

[–] plymouthvan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I kept my S6 when I updated to the S7 and I wear the old one while I’m sleeping. The only time I’m not wearing it is in the shower.

[–] turkeynbrisket@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

sometimes i wear it all day, sometimes i dont just to give my wrist a break

[–] hoainamduong@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Me. The only time that my Apple Watch is not on my wrist is that it is on the charger when I am in the shower

[–] little_blu_eyez@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yes,only off to charge

[–] 9512tacoma@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I have S7 cellular 45mm and wear it from 7:30am till next day and charge it at 6:45am. Happy it lasts long enough for sleep tracking.

[–] j0hnnyf3ver@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wear it 23/7, I take it off about an hour before I got to bed to charge.

[–] d3dac1d@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Absolutely…I work the 1pm-10pm shift…mid morning I charge full if I need to and that’s all..I do take it off to shower but yes

[–] oorhon@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I dont. I take it off during night/sleeping. And also during shower or bath. Also tkae it off ocasioanly to clear sweat and prevent itching.

[–] Unhappy_Quarter154@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I only wore my series 3 when I worked out.

Since getting the series 9, it’s all day every day.

Man, it’s such a great tool. So many health-related apps that make me feel super informed about my body. When I’m home I can leave my phone plugged in and just use my watch to get notifications instead of being glued to my phone.

It’s one of the best tech tools I’ve owned, and I usually put it on the charger for about 30 minutes when I eat breakfast. Always keeps it topped off

[–] Isabelle_Marie@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I do. I only take it off when I shower to charged it.

[–] brewditt@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] InkdScorpio@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I do. I have 2. I wear them to monitor my heart rate due to some health issues. Each one lasts about 12 hours with the special app I use that monitors my heart rate constantly.
