You can watch on television

[–] Apotheosis69420@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Marv did nothing to stop that interception from happening. Bust?

[–] Foxstarry@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Not many mentioned it in the sub yet, but if Day loses, he’s seat will be hot especially with Michigan being coachless today. Maybe another potential HC candidate dependent on the results.

[–] TidyJoe34@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The actual rumor is that Texas A&M might make a run at him.

[–] black96bronco@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

There is no one as delusional as an A&M fan.

[–] Erice84@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah I have no idea why anyone would want to go from being 1a/1b in the big 10 every year to being like the 4th best team in the SEC, at best. Probably more like 6th at best with Oklahoma and Texas heading over there.

[–] 3mta3jvq@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Would OSU let Day go because he can’t beat Michigan? If so, do the Bears consider him?

[–] jpsmith1457@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Every time I watch MHJ I want him on the bears more and more. He catches well and blocks and seems like a team player

Best Football Player in the Draft

[–] sleeptilnoonenergy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Kind reminder he is as or more likely to become a fringe WR1 like Tee Higgins or Muhsin Muhammad as he is a HOFer like Calvin Johnson. Picking him over a QB becomes a disastrous, franchise fucking mistake if his outcome is anything but GWROAT. Risk is just not worth the reward, with the one exception being the Bears using their other pick on a QB that they simply like better than the consensus top 2.

Marvin Harrison is going to be a stud , hopefully he is ours

[–] ben345@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Besides MHJ any prospects worth keeping eyes on here?

[–] noonan492@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)
[–] ben345@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Is there something odd about asking about other prospects to keep an eye on? Obviously i’m already drooling over MHJ

Bro seriously though as a UofM fan I was thinking zak would be great for us if he fell enough in the draft, what a shitty injury. He's a top guard.

[–] Toomuchlychee_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I like Mike Sainristil if we don’t agree to terms with JJ

[–] Upset_Researcher_143@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

We should trade the top pick for a truckload, use the other pick in Harrison and the latter pick on McCarthy. The End

[–] Broshan248@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I don’t think our pick will be top three and MHJ will 100% go top three. Panthers Giants and Patriots are all dumpster fires and Cards could finish worse than us as well.

[–] IrishGrouch34@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Ok the Bears need to get MHJ

[–] PortillosBeef27@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I think The bears need to finish 1 and 3 overall to gaurentee they get him, that’s if they’re taking a quarterback. But that seems very possible right now. Honestly I feel I could see the case to take him 1 overall. He looks that good

[–] Abla_vil_breed_nem@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

This!! I want 1st n 3rd so we can trade the the 1st and get him with the 3rd, I’d go alway down to 10 depending on how many picks we can stockpile for the future

[–] PortillosBeef27@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

But in that situation you’re keeping Justin fields?

[–] Abla_vil_breed_nem@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Fuck yeah!!!

[–] Apotheosis69420@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)
[–] IrishGrouch34@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’ve been pro MHJ since the beginning but now I’m entirely sold on the idea of “MHJ no matter what” and would be pretty disappointed if they didn’t get him

[–] pleasedontbingme@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

He does EVERYTHING at an elite level. Even run blocking.

I am not sure many Bear fans have watched him play because there seems to be a lot of people that either don’t think he is as good as he is or are willing to let him go to someone else.

The two most premium non-QB positions in the league are WR and EDGE. If you have the chance to draft a Hall of Fame talent at either you can’t pass it up

[–] sleeptilnoonenergy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You're wrong. LT and interior DL are more important. A top-end cover corner is at least on the same level.

[–] monkeymatt1836@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Marvin Harrison Jr. caught that ball with one arm wrapped up while being tackled 😤

~~Devin Hester~~ Marv, you are ridiculous

[–] MusicValuable7785@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Honestly I’ve been impressed by JJ McCarthy a lot today. Some of his throws are extremely tight window/anticipation throws and he’s an above average athlete when he runs.

I doubt the Bears will take him as high as 1 or 2, but I can definitely see a team like the Jets or Falcons taking him later on in the second round.

And as we all knew already, MHJ is a monster of a WR. I still don’t know if Poles is confident enough in Fields to take him at 1/2, but anything can happen on draft day

[–] Erice84@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I would've liked McCarthy in the 2nd if the Bears send it away.

[–] PortillosBeef27@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The more I think about it, I see no reason why Harrison shouldn’t go 1st overall. I don’t think there’s anyone as sure a thing as him from what I see

[–] Available_Smoke9875@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I was hoping to grab Zak Zinter until 15 minutes ago.

[–] SurferSting84@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Is MHJ fast? I am watching this game, and he’s really talented with a weak QB but they don’t ever air it out much

[–] TheTDog@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Ran a 4.39 entering college I believe

[–] rustysurf83@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

4.46 is what I see. That’s not Tyreek Hill fast but it’s serviceable. Looks like NFL average for a WR is 4.48. You’d think he might be able to get right around 4.40 at the combine with a full period of focused preparation with one of the super specialized coaching outfits.

[–] TheTDog@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Ah yeah the website I saw, was an estimate based off gps data. But reports is he expects to run a high 4.3

Which is plentyyy fast enough especially for his size

[–] rustysurf83@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Was just looking up old combine stats for WRs…Good God Calvin Johnson was a freak.

[–] horrorpants@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Jim Harbaugh isn’t even coaching he’s suspended…

But the game does have Marvin Harrison Jr. so that should be enough for us to watch.

[–] Poopiepants29@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Or like, the whole best rivalry in all of sports thing..

[–] B_Bibbles@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Pfft, Illinois could mop the floor with all those scrubs.

(Yes, I'm delusional)

[–] atwakom@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

As a Michigan fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this. MH Jr is an absolute beast and OSU is made up of 99% cunts. Win/Win

[–] _CHIBEARSMOD_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I look at all the happy Michigan fans on their home field and I want that for the Bears. I want Jim Harbaugh!

[–] peps3r@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

May I correct you for a second:

Draft plan:

1.Harrison Jr

2.Trade down for late 1st/mid 2nd

3.McCarthy

4.Van Pran

5.Jim Harbaugh( he kind of knows the QB )
