lmao how is this real

It seems like overt satire yet the whole website takes itself seriously all along

[–] BelieveRevolt@hexbear.net 52 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

ending several generations at one strike

projection

[–] Evilphd666@hexbear.net 6 points 2 years ago

It's like a generic picture Onion slide show.

On second thought, maybe don't visit Hamas(dot)com, a site obviously set up by a state level actor infamous for its spyware. Especially not since even Israeli agencies probably realize this has attracted more attention among people dunking on them rather than their supporters.

[–] invalidusernamelol@hexbear.net 28 points 2 years ago

https://who.is/whois/hamas.com

It's a Wix site made literally yesterday

[–] Orannis62@hexbear.net 17 points 2 years ago

I haven't clicked myself, but people I know who did said it was setting off their antivirus

[–] Clippy@hexbear.net 16 points 2 years ago (1 children)

oh no i clicked it with only my basic windows 10 protection, what will happen to me now?

[–] TheCaconym@hexbear.net 23 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

If your browser is up to date, nothing. The Israelis aren't gonna burn a non-interactive browser 0day for this.

I'd be more worried about the website being set-up to register the various referers used to access it / pinpointing from where it's being linked.

[–] invalidusernamelol@hexbear.net 15 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

According to the who is, it's a Wix template site. It was updated 2 days ago, but has been registered since 1999.

According to the archive, it wasn't live until October 11th. Then it was broken for a while until blowing up this month.

Idk guys seems legit, all rights are reserved to hamas © 2007-2023

Like it reads obviously like a satirical type of thing , with the dead baby counter and all that, but at no point does the mask drop, it just insists on itself. Just very odd, it's stuck in between deciding to be a funny pro Israel satire or a really bad fake site

[–] Egon@hexbear.net 31 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Have you read the testimonials?

[–] President_Obama@hexbear.net 44 points 2 years ago

Best part is they're wearing masks in the picture but have their full name under it

[–] BelieveRevolt@hexbear.net 31 points 2 years ago

I got curious and tried the Telegram and WhatsApp buttons, but unfortunately they're just shortcuts to share a link to hamas.com. I wanted to know if there were spaces where Mossad interns have very authentic Hamas discussions with each other sicko-wistful

[–] Timberknave@hexbear.net 16 points 2 years ago

The translation is not accurate as well

[–] Umechan@hexbear.net 7 points 2 years ago

Damn, they're copyrighted. Better not use any of their content without their permission. I don't want to get sued by Hamas.

[–] mar_k@hexbear.net 46 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (3 children)

oh shit oh fuck hamas just released their step by step plan for world domination

“Hello this is Mr Krabs’ website and here is the Krabby Patty formula”

[–] BynarsAreOk@hexbear.net 43 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Maybe a bit unrelated but this reminds me of that story of how CIA agents in Iran were using a shitty 2000s style HTML website as a cover for communicating. At least to me it looks so amateurish it may as well have been called "CIAinIran.net", I mean compared to the real name Iraniangoals.com for supposedly a football site, like holy shit that is some intern level nonsense given what we know of the internet these days.

That story is a real treat btw, that and CIA agents that were killed in China years ago. chefs-kiss

[–] corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net 25 points 2 years ago

CIA agents that were killed in China years ago.

we luv 2 c it

of how CIA agents in Iran were using a shitty 2000s style HTML website as a cover for communicating

Part of why the CIA went running to Amazon Web Services with a long term IT services contract. Amazon is amazing for the CIA because they host something like a third of the global internet and there is nothing suspicious about a device anywhere on earth connecting to an ingress point on the AWS network. Amazon even owns Goodreads and IMDB, both of which are less jank or suspicious than some year 2000s html website.

Anyone else remember the whole thing about r/LakeCityQuietPills in the early days of reddit? It always reminded me of the CIA contractor stuff a few inlaws of mine did back in the 2000s.

I saw the YouTube link and was hoping it was Nexpo. Thank you

[–] Azarova@hexbear.net 34 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Echoing some other sentiment in this thread that you shouldn't actually go there. A few people in the twitter replies are saying they're getting malware warnings from their browsers by going to it. Keep in mind that Israel is infamous for their spyware industry.

[–] Egon@hexbear.net 13 points 2 years ago

On the other hand if you're doing nothing that will aid the Israelis in knowing, then feeding them useless data might be good. Updated it anyway

[–] Weedian@hexbear.net 12 points 2 years ago

i went to the fake hamas website and all I got was PROMIS

[–] Erika3sis@hexbear.net 29 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Doesn't the actual Hamas website end in .ps?

[–] TheCaconym@hexbear.net 35 points 2 years ago

It does, and it's also been down for weeks (unsurprisingly)

[–] joaomarrom@hexbear.net 28 points 2 years ago

Hamas come to Brazil

[–] WeedReference420@hexbear.net 28 points 2 years ago (1 children)

How is Israel so bad at propaganda?

[–] Evilphd666@hexbear.net 6 points 2 years ago

They learned from the best powell-propaganda

[–] envis10n@hexbear.net 26 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Israel even admits that the target of the operation is specifically Zionists and not Jews.

[–] What_Religion_R_They@hexbear.net 22 points 2 years ago

jews and zionists are one and the same in israhell's eyes

[–] Clippy@hexbear.net 24 points 2 years ago (1 children)

@Egon@hexbear.net please put a disclaimer to not visit the site in the title, i am an idiot whose curiosity peaked and didn't read the comments. here's hoping my basic ass windows 10 virus protection will save me from the israeli spyware

[–] Gay_Tomato@hexbear.net 13 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It really should have been an archived link. Idk if you can still change that.

[–] Egon@hexbear.net 12 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

I didn't visit the website myself, or I would have archived it. There isn't even a link on this post.

[–] Gay_Tomato@hexbear.net 11 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Oof so people are just visiting it nakedly themselves? My bad for assuming you forgot or something.

[–] Egon@hexbear.net 8 points 2 years ago

TBF I did tell people to visit hamas.com. I just reckoned they wouldn't visit IOF websites if they are the weird mix of people that have something to hide from the IOF but also have shit opsec

As an American it would be nice to finally have some governance that literally will fight to the death for clean water, education, and healthcare.

Hamas please liberate us.

[–] axont@hexbear.net 21 points 2 years ago
