A US veteran died trying to kill my grandpa during the Korean War.

My grandpa lived until his 80s so RIP bozo US veteran.

He fought in the People's Volunteer Army, and yes he was incredibly based.

I wish your grandpa had his own manga; unfortunately the only comics you have of the Korean war are from the perspective of the war criminals.

The other died for your freedom

Not one single member of the US military has died while “defending freedom” for Americans in nearly 80 years. Many thousands in the meantime have died trying to take away the freedom of others, though

Thankfully for many in very horrific ways; just look up the fate of tunnel rats during the Vietnam war (God I wish there was a video game about murking invading troops in Vietnam in these tunnels, something like dungeon keeper but here you're the good guys)

I got my sister the first one, with the guy kneeling, except it says “I took a DNA test… and God is my father”

If they died for my freedom then they're not a veteran

Red army veteran

That last one about the gf sounds pretty insulting to her. She's "crazy" and "can't control her mouth" but you'll murder someone and hide their body if they insult her instead of you.

I would probably assume anyone wearing that shirt is the abuser in their relationship.

[–] Dirt_Owl@hexbear.net 10 points 2 years ago

Yeah its gross

When you despise your girl but also defend her just enough that it fucks up your other relationships. Favorite heterosexual dynamic.

That's dark souls art which is funny because in that game the gods lie to you so you put yourself into the meat grinder (first flame) to keep the gods (bourgeoisie) in power and delay the age of Men (proletariat)

spoiler for Dark Souls 3Ironically, it kinda looks like Anri of Astora in the usurpation of fire ending.

[–] BennyHill500@hexbear.net 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Because it's the same armor and sword in both games

[–] WittyProfileName2@hexbear.net 3 points 2 years ago

spoiler

Yeah, that's just the elite knight set, it's in every Dark Souls.

I meant the pose.

Don't underestimate the power of real intelligence.

This but with John Brown or some other abolitionist or revolutionary would be pretty based.

[–] Tankiedesantski@hexbear.net 24 points 2 years ago

I shudder to think the price some natives just paid for that colonial's freedom

[–] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 3 points 2 years ago

It's hilarious how romanticized people who were basically just vicious thugs (hellbent on murdering native American civilians for bounties) are, people who if they were alive today would (hopefully) repulse the people wearing shirts like this.

Aggressive Jesus shirt + the sluttiest ripped jeans ever created is a great look

[–] odmroz@hexbear.net 11 points 2 years ago

Sir did you fall from your skateboard onto your upper thighs sir

[–] MerryChristmas@hexbear.net 10 points 2 years ago

If you ever get stuck talking to one of these t-shirt guys, just ask him "which animal would win in a fight" and then try to slip into dissociation until he tuckers himself out. You don't even have to name the animals, he's already got the matchup in mind.

[–] 7bicycles@hexbear.net 8 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Surely both Jesus and the casketed-veteran haven't just offered to die for me, they actually went and did it, but also: you don't know how many more people have offered it to me, I'm charismatic. I mean two? What am I, a shut-in?

[–] Tachanka@hexbear.net 4 points 2 years ago

that third shirt...
