tyreek opoy
Cmc
Tyreek if he gets to 2000 yards. I wouldn’t mind seeing Garrett win, having a defensive player win MVP would be awesome
The real MVP is a QB...
I said a few weeks ago that if Jalen Hurts and the Eagles came out of this gauntlet part of their schedule with statement wins against top teams/QBs then he would win the MVP.
So far he's beaten Tua and the Dolphins, Dakota and the Cowboys, and Mahomes and the Chiefs. He and the Eagles have Allen and the Bills next, then San Fran, then Dallas again before rounding out in Seattle.
I know passing numbers for QBs are down, and Hurts' are down especially, but if he wins two or even three of those games and the Eagles have the best record in the league, with his total TD count, it'll be hard to give the award to anyone else. Not to mention he has Giants, Cardinals, Giants at the end of the year to pad the stats if need be.
I know I'm biased, but he is currently the favorite to win MVP despite lower passing numbers than most, and he was runner up last year (and the favorite before he got hurt), despite also not having crazy high passing stats. McCaffrey will win OPOY, but MVP is and honestly should be a QB award.
Myles Garrett, Browns aren't in the Playoff conversation without him
If tyreek gets 2000 him.
Its sucks that Drew never won an MVP. For all of his amazing seasons they just happened to coincide with someone else’s equally if not more amazing season.
Tyreek
CMC
Tyreek Hill
CMC, Reek, Garrett, Dodson
Two offensive options and two defensive options.
Personally think CMC and Garrett are 1A and 1B with Hill behind them. Dodson let down by how fucking terrible Bills Offense has been meaning they get fucked over a lot but he's been electric IMO
Jason Kelce. DO IT
Garrett all the way
This year isn’t over. We have the luxury to just let it play out. And mvp voting is a fat who cares from me.
It’ll be a QB. And it should go to a QB.
Nearly every team would be much less good without their starting QB (aside from teams who have shit QBs already)
Yeah, it’s Myles, Hill & CMC. I’d love for Myles to get it, but he’d have to step it up even though he’s been unbelievable. As a fan I’d be happy with a single MVP vote & DPoY. I think Hill maybe has the edge on those 3 though. Realistically Hurts or Mahomes wins by default though.
Myles Garrett. Honestly, he’s been absolutely brilliant this season and is the leader of a loaded defense that will most likely carry the team to the playoffs.
As a Texans fan, I want Stroud to be the MVP if this team wins the division and goes to the playoffs. We were expected to be a top 10 pick again this season and what he’s done this season is incredible. Respect to Hurts, but Stroud has had a better season.
It should be Myles Garrett. Browns offense has been bad and the defense has been near historic at times and he leads the league in sacks. The Browns are likely 2 games worse without him.
But, as others have said, it will still probably be a QB. Instead of going to the most deserving player, it will go to the next most deserving QB.
Hill, Brown, CMC
CMC
All day
Trent Williams.
QBs are almost always MVP because they are the MVP. There is no team that is a RB away from being a contender. No team thats a WR away. No team thats a linebacker or a DL away. In order for anyone other than a QB to get it they have to do be truly special and absolutely invaluable to their team. If there was a year for a non QB to get it i think this season is their best bet. But this “best QB award” talk is getting tiring.
If the Browns make the playoffs I'd say Myles Garrett
Travis Kelce for bringing all the Swifties into the fold.
The only possible alternative to QB would be Mccaffrey
Based on that qualification, Lamar Jackson
Mike Tomlin
Motherfucker will find a way to get to 9+ wins with some BS
CMC
My objective MVP list in no particular order:
Myles Garrett Tyreek Hill CMC Patrick Mahomes Lamar Jackson Demeco Ryans Lions O-Line Eagles O and D-Lines
The definition of an MVP is far beyond statistical dominance. These players or units provide the most value to their respective teams IMO.
Though I agree that this year shows as much as any season why non-QB's have as much or more impact, I have to include Mahomes and Lamar because their teams are winning by operating through them; Mahomes is carrying an otherwise pedestrian offense, and Lamar's skillset and newfound ownership of the system far outweighs his touchdown production, or lack thereof. You could argue both teams' defenses are playing well enough to suppress the value of the QB's, but those values can by synonymous, especially since all of their losses have been at the expense of their teammates (especially Mahomes' receivers dropping passes).
TJ Watt. He's the only good player on D (Minkah is injured and Cam is 35). He single handedly brings the pass rush. He bats down balls, he causes TOs, he TFL's. He is the defense. We're 6-4 with the worst offense in the league and a very mediocre defense.
Honestly, he might even be underrated. Early in his career Donald was a dominant force. Recently people have been comparing him to Garrett. Even Madden gave Garret a higher rating than Watt. Absurd.
Hill is on a freakish pace to get to 2000 yards and I believe he will do it. That’s MVP in my book
Tyreek then
AJ Brown
CMC 100% if it isn’t a QB and I don’t think it’s close.
There’s really no clear-cut best player (or team for that matter) this season. I’d say Tyreek Hill would probably be my pick right now if I had a vote. Myles Garrett, Christian McCaffrey, Micah Parsons, DeRon Bland, T.J. Watt, C.J. Stroud, Keenan Allen, A.J. Brown, CeeDee Lamb, Tua…only two QBs in that list but any of those guys could deservedly get a few votes.
Justin Jefferson
I disagree. CJ Stroud is my MVP so far. That roster has no business winning more than 4, maybe 5 games, and they could win the division.
Myles Garrett
Myles Garrett
AJ Brown was on track to definitely be in the conversation before his 1 catch game last week. I'd say he's having the best offensive season for a non-QB along with Tyreek and CMC.
I’d say Myles Garrett but he’s slowed on the sacks quite a bit, he’s not winning by a lot and wasn’t even in 1st place until recently
TJ Watt.
Well start of the season it was Travis Kelce without a doubt. He is world renound on and off the field and has has 7 consecutive 1,000 yard seasons. He is one of the best TE to play the game and is probably coming up on the end of his career before too long. Obviously he isn't getting the production this year but that's because he is getting doubleteamed nearly every play. I know it's a much harder sell now but if you take into his career and who he is dating and what that is doing to bring in female viewership I think he absolutely is the MVP even if his numbers arent showing it.
Patrick Mahomes since he apparently has to run, pass AND catch.
Miles Garrett should for sure be a finalist
