In iOS 17 they added a feature that lets the FBI see what you see on your screen. That’s the symbol they use when they are connected……… . . . . . . .
Work focus
It means Apple is trying to reach you of about your iPhone insurance ;)
This is focus mode "Work" that is enabled.
Swipe down from top right corner, you will see the same turned on(colorful), tap on it again to turn it off
Your focus session/mode. Go into settings and search focus
The focus mode "Work" is active. In the settings, you can find "focus" and see the list of all your focus mode. You can also go to the control center and enable/disable a focus mode

It means there’s a focus mode active. It’s been asked so many times. I literally just googled it and it was the first result I find it hard to believe you couldn’t find anything about it. You can change focus mode in control centre.

It's just the icon that tells you work focus is on.
Highly doubt you actually googled it considering this is one of the most basic features of iPhone now

You’re in work focus. With no sarcasm or mockery, only genuine curiosity, how did you not know that? It won’t do it by default. You have to set it up.
That’s your work profile. After IOS15 apple introduced profiles to manage your phone. That symbol indicates that with profile is on and certain apps, Home Screen, notifications may be hidden from your knowledge. You can turn it off, or change it in settings >profile
its one of your Focus profiles.
Focus mode is turned on you can turn it off from control center.

That’s the Focus Symbol for Work, I use it and set the time for when I’m at work.
It means the FBI Is spying on you.
It’s useful when you only want to get notifications from certain people and apps at certain times. For example I set up my sleep focus so I get no notifications except from my family in case there’s an emergency or whatever.
I was also very confused the first time Work Focus came on. At home, I set it to automatically turn on when I get to work, and all day I kept thinking about what it could be. Contact card? Calendar event?
Swipe down from the Top right to open control center. There will be that icon saying "Work" focus. You can tap on that button to see other focus modes.

You just activated focus mode for me I’ve activated bedtime mode you can create your own focus mode
that is a focus mode open your control centre and toggle it off
