Either he is in charge and makes the decisions to hire and fire or he isn’t!

It’s really that simple, he’s responsible for this mess and if he thinks this coaching staff should continue, then he is not fit for this job or was hardly ever in charge to begin with.

I am not mad at Poles right now. Team is not in a terrible position. 2nd youngest team in the league. loads of cap, loads of draft capital. Things are not looking as bad as people are acting like they are.
--1. Need to figure out what to do with Fields at the end of the year.
--2. Need to fire the coach at the end of the year.
In order of importance.

Halas Hall is the problem in Lake Forest.

We don't fire HC in the middle of the season. Also thin at D coaching staff. Also ownership doesn't like paying 2 HC at once. Honestly he'll probably be retained next year with new coordinators, assuming he got a 3 year contract

We could fire Getsy because he sucks, but there's no time to install anything new and you'd have someone maybe even worse at calling this offense and then you can't evaluate shit.

We're not making the playoffs, so losing is good. Embrace the tank. Fields looked good and Detroit showed they're meh, we keep our top 5 pick position, that game was as close to a win as we want

What is the benefit of firing them now? I think you're better off keeping them and then fire them at the end of the season. Can you help me understand why you believe they should be fired right now?

How long have you been a fan of this team? The bears never fire coaches mid season and never talk about it until they do it.

Wasn't Poles handed a list of three candidates that had already interviewed with management when he was hired?

Yeah, I'm not upset with Poles with this shit show. He's managed the recovery of the salary cap situation his predecessor left. It's painful, but so is a bankruptcy, yet we acknowledge that sometimes you have to go through it to get back to being a working organization.

The last thing I want is the McCaskeys interviewing new candidates. It's more likely Poles will find someone worth hiring than they are.
