We draft Caleb Williams next year and bring ok a new coaching staff, how many games will he have before the fanbase stats calling him a bust? Chicago Stroud is anomoly and the majority of rookie qbs don’t come in tearing it up m. He is more likely to look like Bryce Young

If we draft Willams and he plays as poorly as Bryce young I will eat my hat. I will give him till year 3, same as I did with Fields and Mitch before him
He should get a full two years unless he's Josh Rosen/Zach Wilson bad, but I expect he'll get a lot of hate before that. We'll have both your eternal pessimists and people who are still hung up on Fields nitpicking his early performances.
Half this fan base is already 100% against him and he's not even on the team.
Two years is fair. This fanbase will give him two quarters.
Some probably will be against him from the second he's drafted. It's the world we live in.
If he looks like Bryce Young it will get turned fast. A rookie would have a better situation than Young is being put in. He shouldn't be that bad, but you do expect a lot of ups and downs.

I'm just hoping... and I know it's all futile, but I'm hoping that if we do end up drafting this kid, our new coaching staff does their due diligence and sits him until they are utterly certain he knows how to do the job.
If that takes the full season and he doesn't play until 2025, that's fine, but for fucks sake don't, for the 3rd time straight draft a developmental project and then rush him on to the field.
