No qb deserves it this year sorry. Miles garret or Tyreek all day.

CMC has been the most valuable player in the NFL by a large margin.

[–] frigzy74@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Funny coincidence how fans of teams with bad QBs seem to hate that QBs are favorites for MVP.

[–] Intimateworkaround@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Gonna be a real bummer if just a good not great QB season gets MVP. shake it up and give it to a non QB. It’s just a season award. Do it.

[–] Kflame210@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We live in a world where MVS dropping a pass altered MVP odds. Maybe we should base this award on the best player?

[–] Lovnsmash@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Myles Garrett should be in the MVP conversation if/when the browns make the playoffs

[–] theslumpiest@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Maybe Reek if he gets 2K

[–] thebestatheist@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

CMC is the MVP this season, unless Hurts or Mahomes really start balling out

[–] AvidAviator72@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

? Where’s JF1 on the list?

[–] jnobes7@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Tua with better stats than both just scratching his head at these media narratives all year.

[–] Jabbajaw@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Tell me what happens if MVS catches the ball.

[–] temp1211241@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

How, after that performance, does either of them rank as an MVP front runner?

[–] Jenetyk@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If CMC finishes on the pace he's at, given the current down year as far as QBs and numbers, and a QB still gets it; the award would lose pretty much all meaning.

[–] lutsius-memes@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If Myles keeps this pace, he should be a lock for DPOY and be a top 3 MVP candidate imo

[–] No-Tear-4834@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Receivers drop 6 catchable passes including the game winner. The Athletic: “Mahomes wasn’t any good last night, just look at his stats?”

This might be the weirdest MVP race I’ve ever seen, like there hasn’t really been a QB who’s been consistently dominant enough to deserve it. Honestly the best 3 offensive players this year have been CMC, Tyreek Hill and AJ Brown

[–] RonnieLottOmnislash@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I nean guy catches a ball he looses the game. He didn't do anything too amazing. His one deep ball eas famn good. But idk why winning a game that was really close and KC could just have easily won proves he's the mvp

[–] ColtCallahan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

It’s now basically the QB of the 1 seed. That’s it. There’s no way you can legitimately make an argument for him as the MVP outside of team record.

After watching last nights game… how. Don’t get me wrong he’s a very good QB but what about that game screams MVP? I guess in a sense he is very valuable because he’s the only one who can consistently tush push so,, kind of? But i’d much rather see stroud or Purdy or you know, literally ANY non QB who’s balling in this weak year for qb play

[–] IcyChains@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

If the browns get 12 wins with that QB room I’d say Garrett should get MVP

This might be one of the worst mvp races in a while

MVP is a 2 way battle between Lamar and Stroud. Lamar probably has the edge in production this year but Stroud has been so impactful profoundly and instantly for the entire Texans franchise, and to be already at the top of the game as a rookie is just mindblowing stuff.

[–] The_Bit_Tickler@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (6 children)

QB award nonsense 🤦‍♂️

CMC and Tyreek Hill exist. Hell, Myles Garrett deserves it.

[–] Anon_Rambler@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

See you forgot AJ Brown

I didn't even notice Hurts has 12 turnovers this year. For how much we hear about Allen's turnovers we never hear about Hurts turning it over.

No QB deserves it so far this year

[–] Patient_Jicama_4217@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Don’t care about the MVP at all, Lombardi is all that matters

[–] Radjage@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hurts? That's kinda lazy no? Hey this team has won the most, just pick their QB.

No QB has earned it yet this year. What about Hill?

[–] procrastinarian@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I would give my life for Hurts, but if Tyreek breaks the record in 16 games and the Fins win the division he should definitely win it I think. Even if he does it in 17, probably.

[–] AmeriCanadian98@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The guy who threw for 150 and no tds???

This year should either be not a qb, or Stroud if the Texans somehow pull off a division win imo. None of the stud qbs have had insane seasons this year

[–] Jazano107@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

I ain't saying this because it's the eagles but has he really been that good this year? Hasn't been bad but nothing crazy

Mahomes is taking more heat than makes sense from that game. Red Zone turnovers are a killer and they had 2 at the end of nice looking drives. This game could have been a lot different.

[–] Wafflehouseofpain@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He plays for the best team. He isn’t the best QB. He’s not even the best QB in his division this year.

The MVP should honestly go to Stroud if it has to be a QB.

[–] Soyeahnahh@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Winning an MVP putting up Baker Mayfield numbers is a disgrace

[–] cjweisman@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Why don't they just change the name of the award to the QB of the team with the best record?

[–] AleroRatking@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It makes sense because a win is a win but that loss had absolutely nothing to do with Mahomes.

[–] this_curain_buzzez@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Neither of the qbs I watched last night should win mvp

[–] chaosthirtyseven@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This is funny because Mahomes not only outplayed the Hurts, but Hurts didn't look particularly impressive in the game at all.

It's like gambling addicts know like ten football players and just constantly aim for them to win.

[–] TheRatchetTrombone@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Why the fuck are y'all so eager for a non QB? None of the non QBs are even THAT godly like APs 2012 or Watts 2014. It's going to a QB this year probably Tua, Hurts, Mahomes, or Lamar (def Tua cause fuck y'all lol)

[–] MarekRules@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Definitely the year that a non-QB should win it. I obviously love Jalen but he has not been MVP worthy at all.

[–] Pernyx98@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Mahomes should be like maybe 15-20th on the MVP odds this year.

[–] lunchb0x93@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Going 14/22 with 150 and an int made him go up in mvp race?

[–] KC-Slider@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It’s all CMC wtf

[–] lkn240@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Purdy and Stroud have easily better cases

[–] Insectshelf3@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

i love hurts…but no. if it’s gotta be a QB it should be stroud.

[–] dellscreenshot@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Purdy probably needs to grow out his hair and change his name to trevor lawrence. Then he'd be a shoo-in for MVP

[–] Custard-Alone@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] buffalucci@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He threw for 150 and a pick? Stats don’t count at all?

[–] Devitostitos@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s a great QB but he seems to avoid the “look at the talent around him” criticism and the turnover criticism. I get that they’re top in the division and again he’s a great QB but I don’t see MVP.
