Believe it or not you can blame multiple parts of a team

I feel like a lot of people in the Bears fan base have an unhealthy expectation around QB play and aren't content to settle for anything less than "generational" talent.

If Fields keeps playing like he did against DET, DEN, and WSH, the organization will gain more for trading one of their first round picks + getting more talent to help Fields win than resetting with a QB who has unknown capabilities and will suffer from the same sort of pressure that causes a lot of guys to fail here.

I think basically the entire Bears fan base is united in thinking the coaching isn't good enough

The team stinks, stunk, and stank. That said why does ol Luke feel like Nagy 2.0 when calling a game? He just calls plays just to call plays.

If the offense was the only part of this team struggling then I would blame Fields. But the offense, defense, and special teams are bad so to me that is all on coaching.

As a life long Bears fan I'm very well aware that multiple problems can exist at the same time.

I mean Fields has his issues and is likely not the answer for long term success. I support him though, and can't help wondering how he would look with a great offensive mind. He is significantly more talented than Trubisky, so it could be worth finding out if he plays well the next month and a half. But for now, you have to draft Caleb.

I think at this point if you can’t see Field’s is talent, you just don’t watch modern football. It’s that simple for me.

Coaching is 100% to blame. But I believe a new coach with a high draft pick is most likely picking his own QB. Fields has not done enough to overcome the coaching deficiencies. It sucks but that’s the NFL.

I have not seen a single post or comment in any part of the internet that argued coaching isn’t a problem for this team.

bottom line is he plays well enough to be a true contender. he is better than the top college QBS. no reason to draft one. coaching has to go.

The coaching is a major part of the problem, but Fields is partially to blame too. He doesn't have good QB instincts (i.e. pocket presence, receiver progression), but he is still a great athlete and could play the position competently if he was coached properly. The problem is that they're trying to turn him into Aaron Rodgers instead of Jalen Hurts

People, it is not just one or the other. You can say our coaching is terrible while also acknowledging Fields has not shown he can be a good to great starting QB in the NFL at the same time. This is the stupid “Mitch or Nagy” debate all over again and like last time, the answer is both are at fault.

Fields has been playing with a bunch of nobodies outside of Moore, when he gets MHJ and some better coaching, play-calling and protection he will be cooking the league.

Let me ask you, What is to be said of a rookie cj stroud coming into the league with a new coaching staff and a makeshift o-line and less experienced receivers, who are less talented. And doing more than Justin fields could not come close to doing in almost 3 full years

If we were the Jets, I would 100% be blaming the QB. They have elite pieces everywhere and are a legit contender with a QB. Zach Wilson ruined them.

We are not the Jets. We have multiple pieces struggling and holes everywhere.

Justin has been far from perfect, but he’s been pretty darn good the last 4 starts, and the jury isn’t out on him yet. If we stays at a 100+ rating for the rest of the season, I have a hard time moving off him.

People have blamed the coaches, but the caveat for the next coaching regime can’t be “Fields is your starter”.

Both are true. The coaching is as bad as it gets and fields isn't as good as everyone wants to believe.

Well that's a fans take. JUSTIN and players know they are developing. And that certainly means they are calling plays and putting them in adverse conditions to develop.. they are going to be compromising wins.. Every player that didn't make a play Sunday that had an opportunity is looking in the mirror right now they're not looking at the coaches.. They're not pointing fingers at others...

Pittsburgh Steelers are 6-4 and weren't happy with the offensive lack of production so they fired their OC. 6-5 Buffalo not happy with their lack of offense --out goes the OC. Raiders dump their lousy head coach. Bears...well we don't fire coaches midstream because we're so classy. LOL

Did anyone feel confident the bears were going to march down the field and score on the last possession? I couldn’t shake the feeling they were going to lose even while they were up. It’s a bad news bears year for sure.

I saw someone in the postgame thread say something like "Fields is gonna have to play way worse than that for me to want a QB over Marvin Harrison Jr." and I couldn't agree more. Give me a good coach and a good center and this offense will be legit
