I just got my s9 watch today but I really don’t understand this. Do I need to add my watch to my phone plan?

What this is saying is that your Watch or iPhone has a Management Profile installed that is restricting your device. You dont need cellular/plan

From the looks of it you have a management profile that is preventing Google Maps from installing on your watch. Is it company hardware?

Hi guys, so I contacted apple support and the issue was in fact that I still had some restrictions none of us knew about lmao, to fix it I ended up leaving the family and resetting my watch. That fixed it!

sounds like your watch needs to be added to your phone plan to fully utilize its features!
