You can turn it off in your Airdrop settings.
But my question is, how are you triggering this so easily? With me, it's usually a very deliberate thing to trigger (touching the top of the iPhones, doing the "it's not connecting, maybe if I turn it this way" wiggle).

Not judging, I'm genuinely curious.

I have a work phone so that and my personal phone were always making out.
