Hi,

Today I noticed that my iPhone (12 Pro Max) hasn't been requiring a passcode since yesterday. I didn't realize until this morning when I saw that I could see the content of the texts I received without having my phone in front on my face (so no Face ID). And I could also juste 'swipe up' to unlock it.

I checked the settings and Face ID and Passcode were both activated and the "Require Immediately" setting was enabled.

It came back to normal after rebooting the phone, but I'm afraid it might happen again.

Has this ever happened to anyone ?

Do you by any chance have an Apple Watch? You can configure your iPhone to get unlocked by your Apple Watch if nearby.

I don't have an apple watch, I do have AirPods though but I don't think that they have this ability

same as happened to me, I was scared that my iphone was hacked. I search in reddit that it is a bug or glitch that my iphone was auto unlock without requiring a passcode and face id
