I’m not going to lie. I can’t keep up with all this. He’s CEO, he’s fired, he’s rehired, he’s not actually rehired, he now works at Microsoft. Talk about a crazy weekend

Sounds like it ended in a logical way for everyone: those not worried about their new corporate overlord joined it the others stayed at OpenAI.

Microsoft is not willing to part ways with their former, and now future partner. Sam has allegedly interviewed most if not all of of the OpenAI hires since its' inception.
I think keeping him in the AI space if beneficial for the field.
