His running is great, but it's also a bit of a weakness. It puts him in harm's way more often than not, and he ignores his checkdowns receivers that can bail him out of a tough situation. I really would like to see him not panic in the pocket all the time and try to make a break for it.

Yeah Fields wasn't the problem. The coaching was. Idiots thought that our defense was good enough to hold a two score lead so they started playing not to lose. Our defense is not good enough to do that. Our defense gave up 29 points despite getting four turnovers. That says it all right there

Overall a good game from fields. Accurate, decisive, and used his legs when necessary. Made a big time throw for the touchdown and probably should’ve had Scott at the end to seal it.
Need to see it continue for six more games, but this was a good start.
I’ve seen just few posts and skimmed through few comments post Sunday and you’re 1 of the few comments about see what praising fields. Which I completely agree with.
Thought he played great and he looked awesome out there. Not sure what everyone’s kind of been complaining about since I’ve only seen negative comments.
Not starting hate or negativity but kind of just curious why lots of folks are still bad mouthing Fields after such a great game. I was excited to come and see all the good everyone has to say and just barely seeing your comment as one of the few.
Here's a math lesson for the dopes criticizing Fields passing yards today.
The best offense in the league are the Dolphins. They average 435 yards a game. The league average is 330 yards a game. OK? With me?
So, if the Bears run for 183 yards like they did today, passing for 250 yards would match the best offense in league. His 160 passing yards got us to the league average.
The football field is 100 yards long. Teams only get 8-10 possessions a game.
L take. We don’t want average. And that’s all Fields will ever be at his peak. He needs to go. Fans need to stop settling for him. We deserve better. Why would you be okay with a quarterback who is just a average? When’s the last time an average quarterback has led their team to a superbowl.

Honestly the game wouldn't have been so close if the refs didn't swallow their whistle on the 12 or so other downs when the Bears should have gotten delay of game penalties...Maybe break the huddle with more than 12 seconds on the clock for the rest of the season please.
I don't think Dan Feeney being in for Lucas Patrick was helping matters at all. If I'm being honest, he was a massive liability on both of the drives we had following turnovers in the second quarter. Especially that false start penalty where he didn't snap the ball on the 2 count.
Most people are overlooking the fact that Lions are a top team in the league right now. Honestly I thought we had no chance. Decent game by Fields

Having watched other QBs while Fields was hurt, I think he continues to show he’s a capable starter in this league on the cusp of being a franchise QB.
He throws as good of a deep ball as anyone else. That DJM TD was a beauty into double coverage and that Tyler Scott drop should’ve sealed the game. Put MHJ on that fade route instead of Scott and it’s a win. He’s as dynamic a runner as any QB not named Lamar. That 30 yard run on 3rd and 15 is a game changer.
He obviously takes long to throw, but that’s just who he is. He’s not a cousins / tlaw / purdy type of pocket passer. He’s a dynamic QB like Lamar, Hurts.
This coaching staff needs to go. If we decide to roll with Fields again, bring in a creative offensive minded coach who can use his abilities to our advantage. We should be able to give DCs headaches with Fields skillset.
