Hello r/AppleWatch community,

I'm in the early stages of developing an app for the Apple Watch that aims to help users manage stress by notifying them when potential stress indicators, like heart rate variability, are detected. This app is designed to be a proactive tool in stress management, providing timely alerts to encourage mindfulness and stress-reduction techniques.

As part of the development process, I’m keen to involve the community to ensure this app truly meets your needs. Here’s what I’m proposing for the first version (MVP) of the app:

  • Stress Level Notifications: Alerts based on physiological data from the Apple Watch.
  • Simple, Intuitive Interface: Easy to use, with essential features for stress management.

I would love to hear your thoughts:

  • What are your main challenges with stress management, and how do you think a wearable app could assist you?
  • Are there any specific features you would feel are crucial for an app like this?
  • Would you be interested in beta testing the MVP?

Your feedback is incredibly valuable. Also, I’m committed to ensuring data privacy and security in handling health-related information.

If you're interested in staying updated or participating in beta testing, please let me know.

Thank you for your time and insights!

Stress monitoring and stress control training. As a day trader, I’m looking to monitor my stress levels while trading. I’d like to study my habits and maybe become more aware of when I need to chill out, or train myself to stay calm while the pressure is on. I’d like to have a daily log of these readings to reference during end of day journaling. Eventually, I’d like to see that I’ve trained myself to be cool as a cucumber while in a high stress trading environment.
