People are legitimately blaming Fields.....it's astonishing. The coaches made the exact same decisions that a coach attempting to throw a game away would make. If you didn't know any better you'd think these coaches had money on the game and needed DET to win.

As soon as we decided to take a field goal instead of trying to get a touchdown on that last drive, I new exactly how the rest of the game would play out. I can't count how many times I've watched this team take the "safe" play at the end of the game only for it to bite them in the ass.
The offence is working the entire game then you change it up at the last minute, never works.

Fields looked solid, few overthrown balls. Few misses by WRs. Some great throws stepping up in pocket. But still havent seen anything that convinces me hes the long term solution.

I can blame the qb who fumbled away the game and was terrible on 3rd down. Who turned 4 turnovers into 10 points. Who continued to be obsessed with a deep ball he kept missing on.

I actually find this entire recap by the media and fans frustrating. The final drive isn’t nearly as egregious as the second to last drive.
The one they willingly ran it up the middle on 3rd-and-7 from the Lions 23! And took a FG to go from 9pt lead to 12. I’m not saying don’t kick the FG on 4th down, but aggressively go for the 1st down or TD. You end the game with a TD, you kill more of the remaining clock with a 1st.
With that choice you said “come at us Lions, we have a 12pt lead” and the next drive is a lightning strike to bring it to 5 and 3 minutes. You voluntarily invited the sphincter tightening by not going for a knockout blow when the pressure was off

Eberflus takes more blame, he tucked his dick away at the end of both halves costing all 4 TD's, especially the last 2. I blame Getsy for getting conservative the last half of the 4th qtr, but Flus' pussy prevent was the main reason for this loss.
