Second game this season where there’s just no excuse for how we lost. Our record should be 5-6 right now, it’s embarrassing that it isn’t.
Chicago Bears
Looking for some positives...Flus showed he can't coach and hopefully it helps Eddie Jackson get the boot. Has to help usher all the bad out if this keeps up.
“Wait, does this plane ticket back to Chicago say ‘Matt Eberflus’? I meant for it to say ‘Ben Johnson’”
#I’M SO FUCKING HAPPY THAT ABSOLUTELY NOBODY FROM THIS SUB WILL EVER, EVERRRR BE THE BEARS GM
The game was already lost before we got the ball back. Fields played well enough to win.
Flus has no testicles. When you coach not to lose, you lose. He twice settles for a FG w/o even attempting to try for the first down on 3rd down. The difference in the game right there. Fire that ball-less hack.
New owner new coach new qb
Serious question, has Eberfuck taken any ownership in the postgame interviews. Even something as small as “I need to coach better”?
We have now gone 2 calendar years without beating an NFC North team
We can still go 9-8 and make the playoffs. The problem is that this forum is filled with negative nellies who don't BELIEVE in this team. Only PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE RIGHT HERE IN THIS ROOM.
A good win for the tank.
Fields is NOT the problem. The coaching is the problem.
As usual, this is all TurnerJ5's fault.
When is the last time the Bears beat a divisional opponent?
Fire everyone
Fields threw for 169 yards and so many saying he had a great game . Badget did the same and so many said it wasn’t special. I’m confused about this whole QB thing . Anyway, draft a new QB and build the trenches! Also, fire Flus the puss .
Try watching the game. People who watched the whole game know Fields played well. He made most of the throws he should have. He was accurate, he threw down the field with accuracy. And he WAS the ENTIRE running game.
I will never understand how people can say fields had a good game and that he’s still the guy. He basically did what Bagent did with a few more runs. Flus and Getsy need to go but fields does too.
Im just glad Fields wasnt injured for the season because our Ownership is dumb enough to give Eberfuck a pass because of injuries. We have to root for the most embarrassing blow out losses possible to expedite his firing.
I just don’t understand how coaches can let off the gas that badly.
Offense goes from 8, 10 minute drives to 3 and outs when all you need is one more first down to drain the clock to the two minute warning and two first downs to pretty much guarantee the win.
Defense just needed to pretend they were still playing an actual game and not two hand touch practice.
All I know is a team couldn’t lose on purpose that perfectly.
Don’t know how you look at a guy completing passes almost 70 percent of the time today with blood on his throwing hand and think, I see a running back.
Dude competes every minute. He does everything that’s asked of him. He is as productive as any QB that we’ve ever had in our franchise’s history. Yet we still question him. It’s completely clear how bad this coaching staff is. It’s so absurd!
Imagine owning a franchise, firing Nagy and Pace and then going, you know what, lets hire two people who are even worse. The less experience and leadership, the better!!
Maybe we'll get an XFL team in Chicago one day
If you paid attention to the nfl game thread, Lions fans legit fear Fields. That's your answer at QB right there.
Every time we get a lead in the second half we go into this conservative play not to lose offense and we then proceed to lose. Cowards
McCaskey: we calculated the odds of whether a no name no accomplishment good ole system boy would make a good coach, and boy are we bad at math.
Here's a silver lining for ya. All week All we heard out Flus the Fuck was they were going to use the next five games to evaluate Justin Fields. I want to know who the f*** is evaluating him he needs to go. That was the most pitiful excuse for coaching I've ever seen. They would have fired his ass from my local high school JV team over that s***.
So, The silver lining: can we stop beating Fields in the head for every loss? CAN WE PLEASE PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD QUIT COUNTING WINS AND LOSSES AS A QUARTERBACK STAT. Cleary this is a coaching issue.
Edit: Fields may have been a decent quarterback. Hell he may have even been a good quarterback. He may have been a decent backup in the NFL. We will never fucking know because of the shit coaching he's been dealt his entire NFL career.
I’m tired guys.
Keep Fields
Hey mods I dunno what you all have to do. But I submitted a report for “hate” with a user using the N word in the game thread and apparent Reddit says it’s ok since they just said the N word doesn’t violate any rules.
Purdy is 19/22 for 315 yards and 3 TDs in the 3rd quarter.... and yet half this sub thinks he's an average QB.
Purdy is a great example of why quick processing, pocket presence, etc are often more important than pure physical ability.
I really hated the clock management at the end. Either we go for stopping them and we win. Or we go for the fam ending and we win. You don’t go for both. If you’re playing for the stop, then do it,but save clock in case you don’t.
Where is da bears head coach post conference meltdown when we needed one....oh I forget, that eberfuck is a wimp who is truly lack of accountability and leadership
Lions fan. Was at the game. Justin Fields is amazing. Y’all’s team is talented. I am rooting for Chicago in my bones. I know what these losses feel like.
Edit to add: Your fan base is fun and nice AF. Way to travel and represent well.
Ok so i’m a lions fan and i know how annoying it can be to have other fans come into your thread but i just wanna say i fucking love chicago too, my best friend is a bears fan and unfortunately i cant see him anymore so these games have a special place in my heart for all the memories. FTP and FTV, playing the bears is always bittersweet and i wish you guys the best, genuinely
Da Bears kicked little lion butt. How much we win by? My cable went out with 4 mins to go. Flus for coach of year!!
If we picked Penix I would guarantee the franchise turns around
I think many of you don't understand what a franchise QB does. A franchise QB makes plays when the game is on the line. Despite playing an impressive 56 minutes of football, Fields, once again, wasn't able to do that. Goff, who is a franchise QB did, despite playing much worse than Fields the rest of the game.
In the end, yes the defense is most to blame for collapsing at the end, even though they played really well the rest of the game. But, if you're trying to convince me Fields is the guy--a franchise QB, who's going to turn this team around--why doesn't he make plays when it counts? What good is all that athleticism if he can't win games. He's like 6-25.
Let’s goooooo! Week 16 against the cardinals is a huge game we gotta come away with an L
Start Peterman for that game. Kidding, not kidding
🤮
not to be overly optimistic but this game is a pretty good outcome, all things considered
It’s been revealed that the coaching staff is GROSSLY incompetent. Hopefully this cements any doubt in the front office’s mind that flus and getsy desperately need to go.
Fields balled out and showed that he’s big time. We pass on a QB that would set this franchise back another 3 years minimum of rebuilding.
with our two top 10 draft picks next year we start to really round out this team where it’s needed and not with a prayer that we’ll pick up a HOF QB.
we weren’t making a playoff run. Losses that give us a better pick and still show that we have talent + where the problems lie are good.
I would also argue that this makes us a more attractive place to coach because there’s CLEARLY a ton of potential on this team that’s held back by coaching. That and the opportunity for two early picks has got to be enticing for some bigger name coaches
Remind me next year when we keep Fields with a new coaching staff and we still losing. It never ends with you people
Fields doesn’t audible when they are stacking the box. The second to last drive it was painful to watch them run it up the middle two plays in a row.
Never see Fields making changes pre-snap.
I guarantee every single one of us felt that dark cloud hover over after that first three and out in the 4th quarter.
The one that said yep were going to blow this fucking game.
As skeptical I am about Fields, why not just ride it out with him instead of shoving another rookie qb into the meat grinder? We've literally NEVER hit on drafting a qb, so why not build around the guy we've got?
The bears are the NFL’s community service tax write off team
It’s abundantly clear that this staff is not interested in winning games. But what exactly are they losing for? Better draft position?
Are they aware that the more they keep this up the more likely they’ll all get fired?
I thought we can at least fire Eberflus but keep Poles to find his own coach/possibly his own QB, but if he’s willing to go down with the ship then so be it. Fire Poles too.
The X factor in all this is what will Kevin Warren do? Will he actually show a level of competency or will he just prove to be another McCaskey yes man?
