I was introduced to gratitude journaling two years ago, and I really enjoyed the practice. Personally I prefer using my phone to write down my daily gratitude, though at the time I was frustrated with the gratitude app selection that was available. Apps either required expensive subscriptions for basic features or really threw the kitchen sink at you with included meditations and every self-care feature you could think of. I just wanted a focused journaling experience without the predatory pricing schemes that didn't bombard me with questions (oh please, do not ask me "how are you feeling?" every time I open the app!!).
So I made my own app, Momentory (combination of "momentary" and "story"). Momentory is focused primarily on gratitude journaling, though also supports writing down worries and weekly reflections. The app supports goals, reminders, labeling your entries with categories, and has customization options so you can be fully in control. Also I'm most proud of the background animations: gratitude entries are surrounding by an soothing, expansive orb, matching the positive, expansive feeling that gratitude gives you.
I would love feedback from this community, especially those who have used Apple's Journal app. Which journal app do you prefer?
