Arms length? That’s like 3 feet that’s so uncomfortable

[–] _kirtan_nakrani09@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

you can turn it off in the screen time setting

[–] Jackamo6200@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You have to enable it… it’s disabled by default… It’s Settings > Screen Time > Screen Distance. Or else hold the phone further away from your face and protect your eye sight 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well as for “what is this” it’s telling you to extend your arm from your face and as for how to get rid of it… extend your arm from your face

I wish i would’ve known abt this feature sooner😭

[–] J4S0NFTW@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I hated this. It’s like Apple wants you holding your phone and arms length away as if you’re a grandma trying to read a Christmas card

[–] Present-Ad-9598@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Bro you gotta go thru like 10 steps to turn this on😭

[–] BenRevzinPhotography@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What’re the steps?

[–] XGempler@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Androids don't have that. Get an Android to get rid of that message forever :)

[–] silverslant@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Get rid of it forever? Buy an android

[–] Johnwesleya@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I turned this on and I can’t get it to trigger at all, and I’ve been trying to

[–] aimstaind@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’ve never even seen this warning before. I don’t like it though. Does that mean that the front facing camera is on all the time? Sounds creepy and draining on your battery.

[–] iAdden@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wouldn’t mind it if it would go away once I moved the phone away. Instead I have to manually exit the pop up 🤦🏿‍♂️

[–] Correct_Maximum_2186@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I turned it on thinking this could benefit me - then it complained in the morning when I just woke up and was still in bed. So I turned it off.

[–] LoneWolfpack777@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Thank you kind sir!

[–] Y1NGER@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Who tf holds their phone out at arms length other than middle aged parents who also tilt their head up 20° with bifocals on?

[–] Pkazy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Myopia is trending to get worse and its largely because of screen use. dont give your kids screens !

Did anyone else instantly hold their phone up to their face to see if they could trigger this..?

Or am I weird?

[–] SlowUnderstanding360@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Don't tell me how to live my life!

[–] LoneWolfpack777@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What is this and how can I apply it to all my devices?
