Getting sober and trying to manage my stress, so this was satisfying to see. I love my watch. I have a ways to go though!

If you throw in some cardio you’ll be so surprised to see how low your heart rate drops!

[–] csh213@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I just got an exercise bike! I can only last like 15 minutes at a time on it but I’m not giving up! Can’t wait to see the results

Way to go! If you track your BP, you’ll likely see that decrease as well.

Congratulations

Keep going! Life is better sober!

Nice job. Quit cold turkey several years ago and never felt better. I’ll have an occasional drink socially but I don’t miss it. I love having a clear mind.

[–] csh213@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Thank you so much! I do already feel better

[–] AnalyticalAlpaca@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’m curious how much you were drinking before?

[–] Yugikisp@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I quit benzos and noticed a huge increase and then I lost a bunch of weight, exercised and eventually got down into the 60’s for resting.

Great job! Sobriety really is the best way to live

WTF!? 79 resting HR! My slow walk hr is 80. Maybe you should see a cardiologist.

[–] csh213@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I am under a doctors care, thank you! ❀️

Sidenote: I changed my job and it went from high 70s to low 60s. Amazing what stress does to our bodies.

But going back to OP, congratulations to you. Keep fighting, it's not easy.

How is your heart rate variability? Well done!

[–] csh213@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My heart rate variability is still abysmal, maybe because my job is so stressful idk, but it’s a work in progress ❀️
