Yeah, but still. To me, one party wants as much of this to change as possible. The other one wants to take us as far back toward the 1950s as possible.
You're not wrong that the Republicans wanna go back to the 1850s nowadays. But Democrats campaign on Medicare for all and single payer with no intent to ever implement it. It's a popular idea, but would hurt their bottom line if they ever actually did anything about it.
And our system is rigged against anyone not running as either party, so...
My guy 4 years took us from MC4A being fringe to every primary candidate having their own pitch for it from just doing medicare but without the age floor to complete abolition of private medicine.
The reason it hasn't happened yet is because the demographic that's most vocal for it is also the one that has to be dragged to the polls kicking and screaming to actually flipping vote for it.

You can buy medical debt at a fraction of the face value. That's how these predatory debt collection companies make money.
What's stopping people buying of their own debt? And why is money still being made?

Constantly feels like we're losing the best of us. I can't imagine facing death and thinking, "How can I make a bunch of other people's lives easier?"

While this is for sure life changing for those it helps, and magnanimous of this heroine, it is still chock full of shame that the motherfuckers who've twisted the system all up STILL get their win, no matter what.
I hope BRICS absolutely destroys the dollar, and when that falls, and the military and police no longer are getting paid, everything else'll fall too. Then the rich can be just as broke as everyone else, but they'll have food, supplies, jewelry so the armed will be making it out to mansion manor with the quickness. Like the next day.
And no, the police won't work to restore order. Work for free? Have you met these people before? Look at the last 20 years, those motherfuckers will be LEADING the looting.
