Can't download images (lemmy.world)

as title says, I can't download any image in the app. When I open one and hit Download in the menu, nothing happens. I checked all my folders and the images are never saved. Anybody else with this problem?

edit: running the MIUI global on a xiaomi note 5

Just tested, went to the gallery app as expected.

Works perfectly for me, maybe it goes to a hidden folder (folder with .nomedia file in it) or your internet is ass (but so is mine right now i have H (2G+ i think) and it works)

What type of phone do you have? I have a Samsung Galaxy S22ultra and it works fine when the app is in the regular location on the phone. However if I have the app in the Secure Folder and try and download it doesn't work (or goes somewhere that can't be found). I had reported this bug awhile back but no fix as of yet. Other Lemmy apps don't have the same issue.

On Xiaomi Mi 11 running MIUI Global 14.0.7 downloads to gallery as expected.
