Need more things like treasure planet. The concept was so cool and I loved the mix of early imperialist fashion and transversal of the "high seas" of space. The solar surfing and solar sails concept was also very very cool. I also really enjoyed the mix of 2d and 3d animation; it made the tech looking really fascinating.

Is there a community for this sort of thing?

Probably really pulpy Planetary Romance, like pre 60s sci fi (like 1900s to 1920s) would have stuff like steaming jungles under Venus cloud cover. Or Martians hanging out on Mars. You might like The Ship That Sailed to Mars but that's more magic than tech, unfortunately.

There's a dnd setting called Spacejammer that's got a lot of what you mentioned - except again far more supernatural rather than being based on some speculative science or tech.
