It's so HARD for me to keep calm looking at this. Like it really DRIVES me mad.

[–] WarmSoda@lemm.ee 34 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Weird. It only bothers me a little bit.

[–] VieuxQueb@lemmy.ca 29 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It took a byte out of my time but it did put a spin on the meme.

Yeah same. I'm pretty chill right now.

[–] klemptor@lemmy.ml 64 points 2 years ago (4 children)

Goddammit this meme will not die

[–] RagingRobot@lemmy.world 17 points 2 years ago

I'm confused every time I see it. Until I remember the stupid comic

[–] Rolando@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It's not a meme, it's more like a national anthem.

National anthems are memes too.

[–] CaptPretentious@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

At this point, it's in the same category as a Rick roll.

[–] Macaroni_ninja@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Hardly a meme and more like your annoying little cousin, who you have to meet regularly on family reunions.

He has no sense of humor, always tells fart jokes and some family members find it funny how annoyed you are every time he makes an appearance.

And yet, somehow, your life just wouldn't be the same without him

(Better, maybe, but not the same)

Meme != Funny/joke

Oh, that's a good one, I'm saving it for my software engineer housemate.

Pretty good.

I've legit once killed a hard drive by absentmindedly standing it up on its edge and then accidentally knocking it over on a hard table. It would seem to work for about two minutes when turned on and then would suddenly turn off and you can hear the read write head abruptly returning to the home position.

So you're telling me I experienced loss for real?!

[–] newtraditionalists@beehaw.org 9 points 2 years ago

This one actually made me audibly guffaw. Well done whoever did this lol

[–] CheeryLBottom@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Thank you, I didn't get it either! :)

I'm 59 and technically a Boomer so... You know I'm out of the loop.

[–] LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Interesting.According to this You are just at the tail end of the second wave of the boomer generation. You were born one year early from being considered generation x

I realize the designations for these generations are somewhat arbitrary but interesting which ages are considered which generations according to whichever source. Like before this I never knew there were two generations of boomers.

[–] Subverb@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Yes, I only learned I was born in the last year for boomers a couple of ears ago. I was pretty shocked.

I use this as my reference. .

I was born in October of '64. Tippy tail of the Boomers.

[–] scottywh@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

It's mostly about how millennials and gen z love inside jokes.

[–] jakob@lemmy.schuerz.at 7 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Sorry, what is the story behind?.i don't know it

[–] LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world 11 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Ah how fun for you. It's an old meme. Once you learn about it, your life will not be enriched and you will not be any wiser, you will simply be able to understand the inside joke which isn't even funny or useful or applicable anywhere. Every time something like this comes up on an increasingly rare basis. Google "Is this loss?" Or "Loss 4-panel comic."

[–] HowMany@lemmy.ml 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Are they..................................... dead?

[–] rosymind@leminal.space 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It's based on a webcomic where someone's partner has a miscarriage in a hospital setting

[–] HowMany@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 years ago

Ohhhh. I totally get that now.

[–] Frederic@beehaw.org 5 points 2 years ago

ah tabarnak...

[–] Nelots@lemm.ee 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Would have been funnier without the text imo, make people actually piece it together themselves rather than just telling them the joke.

[–] robot_dog_with_gun@hexbear.net 3 points 2 years ago

yeah the shitass header is terrible

[–] Pharmacokinetics@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

Will I get banned if I kill this mf right here?

[–] someguy3@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 years ago

Need a little 2.5" drive that uhhh...
