Why is my photos taking so much?! (alien.top)

I just recently noticed that my photos jumped from about 3GB to about 10GB yesterday, and now it’s at 22 GB and I don’t wanna run out of storage, and I have lest than 300 photos and 50 videos(about a minute long each). I have the free iCloud plan and it’s not maxed out. Please help me I don’t want to go above 75% storage capacity.
